Holiday Homes in Holmfirth

You will find Cross Farm Barn in the heart of the Holme Valley on the doorstep of the village of Holmfirth made famous by the BBCs 'Last Of The Summer Wine' and more recently YTVs 'Where The Heart Is'.

Brian Capron and many of the cast from Where the Heart is stayed with us during their summer filming seasons. The series was filmed in the Colne and Holme valleys of Huddersfield in West Yorkshire using the real life villages of Marsden, Slaithwaite, Holmfirth and Meltham for many of the external shots. The First series was mostly filmed in Slaithwaite, but from series 2 onwards, they used Marsden as their main and home filming location.

A few of the pictures of Brian and his family which recently appeared in HELLO Magazine were shot on some of the walks and trails close by, as well as a few taken inside some of the cottages.
